HERMES PERSONAL AGENT

Privacy policy

Effective 31 October 2026. This policy describes Justin Daly’s private Hermes installation and its Google Workspace integration.

Data accessed and purpose

When authorized, Hermes accesses Google mail and attachments, message labels, calendar events, Drive files, document and spreadsheet content, and contacts. It uses the data needed to answer the owner’s requests and perform delegated work, including scheduled tasks, email organization, event management and document editing.

Processing and sharing

Hermes runs on the owner’s device. Relevant task content may be sent to its configured AI provider to interpret requests and generate responses. Google APIs process Workspace actions. Results requested through Discord may be delivered to the owner’s private Discord server. Other tools or services may receive data when needed for a task the owner authorizes.

Google user data is not sold or used by this installation for advertising or to train generalized AI models. Use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Storage and retention

OAuth credentials, conversation history, useful memory and task records may be stored on the owner’s device. Private recovery backups may also be kept on the owner’s laptop. Information remains until the owner removes it or the applicable retention process deletes it; backup copies may persist until removed or rotated.

Control and deletion

The owner can revoke Google access through Google Account connections, remove the local OAuth credentials, and delete stored conversation, memory and backup data. Revoking access prevents future authorized API access but does not automatically erase existing local records or backups. The owner manages questions and deletion requests through the private Hermes interfaces.
